Back from Instituto Cervantes' Dia del Libro (International Day of Books) with
tristantrakand, but unfortunately didn't get to buy any book--not even a photography book--so no roses for me. We were also a bit late in signing up for the free Spanish class, dammit (vosotros, LOL). But I took some photos of a dance performance and a guy playing the saxophone which I will upload later. And er yeah, there were cute Spanish boys roaming around so I guess that makes up, hehe. Still, the book fair was better last year.
The nice thing was we were able to watch the featured film, Los Lunes del Sol. Wow, Javier Bardem is hilarious. After seeing him in Before Night Falls and Mar Adentro (I haven't watched No Country For Old Men yet), I couldn't imagine him doing comedy but he was really funny in Los Lunes. Hmm, it's too bad I missed Boca a Boca where he played a phone sex operator; he looked really young in the poster so it must have been one of his early films. Now I want to sign up for lessons soon so I canabuse peruse Instituto's library.
I hate getting out of a book fair empty handed, so I went grocery shopping (basta kailangan ko ng retail therapy, shut up). Omg Shopwise had pet milk which I nearly bought but I had to stick to my budget and get Mimi's Whiskas. Maybe next time. I was looking for canned chorizo (the cheapest, I think), too, after eating one in the paella at Instituto and getting inspired by Kao's Chorizo Bento, but there wasn't any. Aaargh. Plus I still have to get furikake in Makati.
But first I need a new lunchbox--saw a nice one at Daiso in Cubao, must go back for that. Teehee. I am really taking this food thing seriously.
